ASPECTS TO THE FULL MOON IN TAURUS

In our post on November 11, 2024, https://www.holmastrology.com/post/full-moon-in-taurus-1 we touched on the energies of the Taurus Full Moon at 24° which will take place on November 15, 2024.  Today, we will touch on important transits aspecting this Full Moon placement. 

Aspects to the Full Moon in Taurus

For a transit to have an impact on this Full Moon, it will need to be within a 3° range and the closer it is to the actual degree (24°), the more powerful its interaction will be (depending on how many natal planets also interact with this degree in your personal chart).

There are two notable transiting planets.  Transiting Uranus (25° Taurus) which is Conjunct the Full Moon, and Transiting Neptune (27° Pisces) which is sextile this position.  They will interlink with the energies of the Full Moon and will affect these energies. Much, of course, depends on the Natal chart interactions as well, but we are just talking about these two planets in general in this post.

Uranus in Conjunction will immerse its energies with the Moon. With the Full Moon in Taurus, Uranus’ energies will not be happy as Uranus needs change.  Taurus does not like change and is quite comfortable with things the way they are as long as they have the potential for favorable outcomes over time. 

Uranus on the other hand is insistent on change because change is needed.  Things have become dormant or no longer suit your evolutionary advancement. Therefore, you will need to make some adjustments which will correlate with what is needed.  These changes Uranus wants to see do not have to be finite or total by any means. This is not Pluto we are talking about. According to Uranus, things need to shift and be rearranged on some level.  Something is not working the way it or they used to anymore and security is a big part of this picture.  The Astrological house where these two meet will be the area of focus. The changes that are required will make sense over time and will eventually put you where you need to be.

Transiting Neptune is at 27° Pisces when this Full Moon takes place.  This is considered a favorable aspect (the sextile which is a 60° aspect) and often coincides with an opportunity to move forward on some level.  Neptune is often tied to the mystical side of life but can also speak of challenges which are not being faced head on.  There is a desire to avoid all conflict when it comes to Neptune as its energies are peace-loving.  There may, now, be opportunities to open the door to psychic revelations which in turn will help you to uncover the meaning behind things that have been left undone or things that have been kept behind closed doors. 

The sextiles aspect needs those involved to speak their mind or do something in a positive manner to bring things to the surface.  If nothing is done with these positive energies, then quite often nothing changes.  It is up to you to make things happen.  The Astrological house where you find transiting Neptune as well as the house you find this Full Moon will be areas of life that are involved.

In summary, Uranus and Neptune will make aspects to the Full Moon in Taurus on November 15, 2024. Uranus will insist on a shift, but the Taurus Full Moon may resist. The shift will happen! Neptune will be a favorable influence, but it is up to you to utilize the energy it is offering.

WHEN TO HOLD ON AND WHEN TO LET GO

When to Hold On and When to Let Go

Every now and again we seem to come to a turning point in our lives and need to make choices. Do we continue on the path we are on, or do we move ahead in a new and often unknown direction.  We know that these decisions should not be taken lightly if the consequences can be life changing.

The choices we make at these crossroads can have profound impacts on our lives and sometimes the decisions can make us feel rather uncomfortable, yet on some level we have been guided to these crossroads in life.

We can wabble back and forth and after much deliberation, we make a decision.  We don’t know what the future holds regardless of whether we make a change or not. This can be frightening.  We venture forth nonetheless because the time is right and likely change is needed.

Although we do not know where life will now take us, there is something within us that confirms we are on the right path. We always go where we are meant to go, so we have to have some faith in the process and our journey. 

These crossroads may not come often, which is a blessing in many cases, and although we are uncertain as to where that might lead us, destiny’s gate is now open. 

We are ready for change on some level, or change would not have presented itself. 

Have faith in the process and know when to hold on and when to let go. You WILL go where you need to go.

OCTOBER SOLAR ECLIPSE

October Solar Eclipse

On October 2, 2024, we will be experiencing a Solar Eclipse in the sign of Libra at 10°. 

If you have natal planets either conjunct, opposition or square to this position, primarily the Conjunction and Opposition, you will be affected by these energies, and possibly in a powerful manner depending on other transits in place at the time when this eclipse is in effect.  You can allow a 3° orb of influence, so planets between 7° and 13° of this placement in the appropriate signs will be influenced.  All major aspects will have some effect on this placement. 

A few months leading up to this timing will begin to show what has potential to manifest.  This influence can be strong for about one year, but last as long in years as the eclipse lasts in hours.  According to www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2024-october-2 the first location to see the partial eclipse begins at approximately 11:43 a.m EDT and the last place to see the partial eclipse ends at approximately 5:47 EDT.

Since this eclipse is in the sign of Libra (you always must take into consideration the sign and the house placement of any eclipse), the main influence will have to do with relationships.  This may include your spouse or significant other, close friends or business associates.  It involves fairness, justice, balancing, harmonious yearnings and perhaps making things right. 

It often encompasses new beginnings or endings and opportunities for significant change.  There is often an important shift where we must let go of what was or the past and move ahead possibly in a new direction.  Important life events are often tied to when Eclipses’ energies take hold, and again the house position will define what area of life may be involved.  Transformation and change are key characteristics of eclipses.  Sometimes it can bring unexpected change when we least anticipate it, but this change is often just what is needed in the long haul.

Transiting Mercury is closely tied to the conjunction of the Sun and Moon during this eclipse, and this suggests that the mind is closely tied to what takes place.  You may have been thinking about things for some time and now is the time for action or when action takes place.  Sometimes destiny seems to prevail and much of what takes place is beyond our control.  Things change because they need to.  Intensions play a big part in what unfolds, and goals also come into play.

Along with Transiting Mercury, we also have a Grand Water Trine with Venus (love and affection), Mars (sexual energy and drive) and Saturn (a steadying effect which can solidify things and bring stability).  The Grand Water Trine suggests emotional connections have the potential of working well and moving along nicely.  You are self-sufficient at handling any events that may unfold, and you do not depend on others to do the work necessary or to move you in the intended direction.  The emotions may be kept under wraps at this time as you know you can handle anything that may surface, and things flow without obstruction.

Embrace the energies of the October Solar Eclipse which will be influenced by the energies of Libra. Let go of the past and move forward into your new direction.
