SATURN SEXTILE NATAL NORTH NODE

When deciphering the information in this article, the placement of the North Node and South Node in your astrology chart will be extremely important.  The North Node has to do with what we have come into this incarnation to learn from, achieve, and build on, and the South Node speaks of what we should let go of and what is comfortable for us (this is determined by the sign and house position). 

Transiting Saturn Sextile Natal North Node

When Transiting Saturn makes a Sextile to your Natal North Node, it also makes a Trine to your Natal South Node.  This can be a time of great opportunities when it comes to your path forward.  You may find that your eyes are finally open to what the next step might be as you move forward through life lessons seen as adverse or a slow progress forward (again related to the energies associated with the North Node’s positioning). 

An example might be for someone who has a North Node in Aries (and therefore a South Node of Libra). This would encompass the need to step forward with your own ambitions.  It must be personal although others might be affected as well. The time has come to recognize your personal ambitions and to press forward to fulfill them. With the North Node in Aries in our example, you cannot rely on others to do the work for you (which would likely have been the case in a previous lifetime, or you might have been so tied up in helping others prior to this lifetime that it seems almost out of character to move towards something that suits your personal needs).

With the South Node in Libra, continuing with this configuration example (NN in Aries, SN in Libra), in the past, you were always in the shadows of what was taking place.  Now, your objectives must be met and with the example South Node, you may be able to use your compassionate and diplomatic nature to assist in maintaining this process that is required.  You have ideas on how to maneuver your way forward but a part of you wants to do this for others, when in fact you need to do this for yourself first. Others will likely benefit over time, but you must advance for your own benefit first and foremost.

Saturn may make this progress a little more difficult because it insists that we work diligently for our rewards.  You will have to put in the work required to achieve your objectives and do not let any negativity delay the process. 

Saturn sextile Natal North Node is energy designated for you! The harder you work towards your goals, the greater the chance of success.  The effort and the prolonged period will be worth it. Keep pushing forward even when there seems to be obstacles in the way. 

Perseverance will pay off over the long haul and if Saturn should go into retrograde during the time span, you will have several opportunities before you finalize what it is you may be pushing towards.

URANUS TRINE NATAL NORTH NODE

Uranus’ energies when in transit bring sudden, unexpected changes.  These changes can be drastic, and unusual, but they are what the soul’s requires, at that particular phase of life.  We often get little hints to let us know that we need to re-evaluate life and move in a tweaked or new direction. 

If by chance we decide not to make a change, Uranus’s energies may subject us to rather uncomfortable conditions to push us forward or create events that force us into action or bring action to us.  Uranus, as with the other outer planets (Neptune and Pluto), forces us in directions often without our consent if we resist the change required.

Uranus Trine Natal North Node

When Uranus makes a Trine to our Natal North Node, it often brings opportunities to shift in ways that foster growth and provides us with valuable insight which can assist us in making the right decision.  Trines often work in extremely favorable manners.  They are fortunate, work in an easy flowing method and often bring advantageous conditions.  Sometimes we need to act in order for things to open up for us, and other times, life just seems to provide the opportunity without any effort on our part.

The North Node has to do with our road or journey in this life. This path may be somewhat uncomfortable, however, as it is unfamiliar to us.  This is the road we are meant to walk, and life itself will provide what we need to find this path.  We may worry over the unknown, but over time, we begin to understand why life keeps pushing us in this direction.

Often, important people come into our lives to help us on our journey.  They provide the energies needed to advance and can help us to become more motivated in that direction, perhaps providing us with reassurance that the direction ahead is viable.  In some cases, they are people in passing that come into our lives just to help us in that moment.  At other times, they remain in our lives for a much longer period of time and some stay with us throughout our entire life.

It is wise to utilize the energy at hand as this will assist us as we progress on our journey of life and add to our evolutionary growth.  This is an important time in life, and we should listen closely as we are likely to receive input from outside sources letting us know what steps to take. 

Transiting Uranus trine natal North Node is a turning point.  Move forward knowing that the path you are being pushed to walk is the one you should be walking. Utilize all the energy available and enjoy the progress to your destiny.

TRANSITING SATURN OPPOSITION TO NATAL NORTH NODE

As Transiting Saturn makes an Opposition to the North Node in our birth chart, it will also Conjunct our South Node.  The North and South Nodes are always exactly180° apart. 

The South Node and Saturn are said to carry with them similar energies.  Both are considered malefic or non-desirable when it comes to their energy. 

Transiting Saturn Opposition Natal North Node

The Opposition to the North Node suggests that other people are often involved in what is taking hold in life. 

The energies of Saturn in opposition to our natal North Node can have a lasting effect and can cause some concern because it appears as though someone is trying to stop your momentum forward.  You are being held back from moving in the direction that you want to go.  There can be obstructions along the way, twists and turns that you might not enjoy, and you will likely feel as though you are being tested by outside forces. 

Things will finally start moving or flowing again once Saturn has moved out of orb. Unlike other transiting Planets, sometimes due to Saturn’s delay, its most powerful influence may be encountered when it is 2° past being direct. 

For example, if the North Node is at 25° Pisces and Saturn is at 27° Virgo, this will be when these energies are at their peak.  Interestingly, transiting Saturn Mid-April and into May of 2025 is making contact within this suggested aspect, while both in transit.  So, if you have this influence also in your natal chart, this specific timing will be a very powerful in your life, and you will have to wait for these energies to clear.  Much will depend on the houses involved as this will define the areas of life involved.

Perhaps issues of the past may now be surfacing and although you would rather push them aside, this is the time to face them and review thoroughly and discreetly.  Do not try to avoid this as the time has come to deal with whatever this is indicating no matter how challenging it may seem. 

There may also be issues related to the father or an authority figure in some cases. If this relates to an authority figure, it might also relate to your career or someone who has a hand in decision making.

If this is tied to the seventh house, for example, then the marriage partner might be part of what this is about.  Troubles in communication may be suggested if the location is within the third house of the chart.  Romantic or issues with authority with your children may be part of what this is about if your fifth house is involved, and so on. 

Remember this one aspect, and by itself, it is not enough to ascertain a complete story of what is unfolding but it will provide you with some insight.  The whole picture needs to be evaluated with a look at the full chart.

Transiting Saturn opposition to natal North Node is a valuable yet difficult lesson. After these energies pass, you will feel great relief. Review the lessons learned as Saturn is a disciplinarian but also a great teacher.  Without its influence, even though the lessons are not easy, we can become stagnant.
