WHAT IS TO COME

As far as world politics are concerned, it can be unsettling as to what the immediate future may hold. Many have expressed concerns that wars will escalate, that innocent people are dying in these conflicts, that the world order is questionable and that our future is uncertain.

This does not mean that we are getting ready for a greater conflict as many leaders realize that no one wins in any major conflict. Would further escalation bring forth real resolution?

On a personal basis, some feel the future is uncertain and the path ahead looks rather murky while others feel the path forward is quite clear and what lies ahead is much more favorable than where we have been in the recent past.

The importance of our predictions for the future is far less important than this current moment. Our enjoyment of the moment rests firmly with our focus regardless of which direction life may turn. Our focus and attitude create anxiety and worry if that is where our focus lies.  Our focus and attitude can create promise and appreciation if that is where our focus lies.  With both focuses, the events are the same.  It is the way we look at them and whether we live in the moment that determines our personal experience.

The current moment is all we have guaranteed. We can live within this moment or explore in our imagination possibilities that might never surface for the future. That is allowing worry to live in your head without paying rent.

Do you look to the future or do you live in the moment?

If you look to the future, what do you see there for yourself? 

Answering this question will most certainly allow you to take note of where your head/focus is and what you might want to do with that.

One step at a time. One moment at a time. One situation at a time. The tools you need for this moment are in your hands.

One way or another we make the decision of how we will respond to what is to come.  We choose where we put our focus.  We alone decide our attitude and our approach to anything life sends our way.

Natal and Transiting Neptune

The Astrological birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth.  This natal snapshot never changes.

The Natal or birth placement of Neptune can operate on several different levels.  Much will depend on the sign it is in and the house placement along with the aspects connected to Neptune from other planets and angles within the birth chart.  All of these details are crucial in determining how Neptune will play out in your personal astrology chart. 

Because there are so many variations of what Neptune might look like in your chart, we cannot clearly define exactly how Neptune will work. However, we will focus on the properties of Neptune in the birth chart.  We will also take a look at the integrated energies it will create while it transits through the Natal chart. (Again, the natal planets never change in our birth chart, but the planets continue moving and once the snapshot of the heavens has been taken and the position of the planets noted for our birth chart, the planets continue to move.  The moving planets are then called transiting planets.)

Neptune’s placement by sign and house is an area of potential psychic awareness.  The intuitive qualities of an individual is exhibited in Neptune’s location in the Astrology birth chart.  Although not always clearly defined, its potent energies are still functioning in the specific area of life, defined by Neptune’s house position. 

Neptune can be spiritual, enlightening, psychic and in many cases service oriented.  Neptune when challenged in the birth chart can be illusionary, vague in its expression, perhaps careless in its action and uncertain about the road ahead.  When very poorly aspects, Neptune can lead to mental health concerns especially if poorly connected to the planet Mercury. Because Neptune is so sensitive to outside conditions, a poor aspect can lead to hospitalizations and mental breakdowns.  However, this is in extreme cases, and a further delineation of the full chart must be conducted before coming to a conclusion.

Neptune remains in each sign approximately 14 years, so a whole generation will be affected by its subtle yet powerful influence.  Wherever Neptune resides in the birth chart, it is often wise to have other people’s input when questioning what is illusion and what is reality, although these particular individuals would have to be proven trustworthy to you.  Reality checks are essential when dealing with Neptune’s energies.

Neptune in transit will affect any given planet or significant angle, particularly the Ascendant and Midheaven for up to two to three years, depending on its location and also its retrograde cycle.

Transiting Neptune can be insightful, magical, enlightening, spiritual and all encompassing, or when challenged can lead to disillusionment, vagueness, apprehension or situations which are unclear and troubling because you may not be able to integrate what is taking hold in life for some reason.  This is when you may want to ask for assistance either professionally or from a trusted friend, as without clarity it can lead to hazardous situations.  What you see and feel should be scrutinized and validated.

When we are experiencing a transit from Neptune, we can gain insight through meditation, group therapy or discussion and visualization techniques. Dreams may be very revealing and provide reliable guidance if we can interpret them clearly. 

Neptune’s energies are magical and enlightening. Use these energies when appropriate to gain insight into other realms and connect with higher sources.

Natal Neptune represents your imagination, dreams and spirituality whereas transiting Neptune can dismiss old structures and stimulate creativity and intuition.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE

The first thing that comes to mind when we hear “Celebration of Life” is that someone has died and now we get-together to celebrate who they were and what they achieved in this life. 

It is rather unfortunate that we do not celebrate life before it comes to an end.  Why do we have to wait for people to pass over to celebrate? 

Would it not be more appropriate to celebrate life by living?

Perhaps, we can celebrate life in each and every moment.  Let’s recognize what we have and what we experience regularly.

Life could be so much worse.  Look around you, both close to home and on the world stage.  We have countless reasons to celebrate.

Do not let those that want to divide us steal our peace. There can be too much stress and anxiety if we focus on all the hostility, critical discourse, and derogatory statements. Scroll by the insults and divisiveness. The first step is to create peace by starting in your own little corner of the world.  

Those in positions of power must find ways to create widespread peace, not through violence and war but through caring and compassion.  If we all worked together, we could create a positive, peaceful place for all to live. It takes more than money but the wealthy can help.  It takes an attitude of equality and effort, no matter who we are.

Even in our close relationships, do not let those that are unhappy or focused in the wrong areas of their life steal your peace. Remind yourself where those comments and actions are generated.  

There is an answer, but this answer begins with you.  Your efforts are not inconsequential.

We can help one another. Let’s walk together rather than focusing on our differences and divisive messages. Focus is our primary tool.  Use it wisely. Focus on a celebration of life.
